It’s on again!

Bring your antique and art treasures and find out how much they are worth, and what they are all about, from a savvy team of Australian Antique & Art Dealer’s Association (AA&ADA) member dealers in The Famous Spiegeltent in the forecourt of The Arts Centre Melbourne on March 16, 2013. There are three sessions at 9.30am, 10.45am and 12pm. The expertise of the dealers involved covers a wide range of cultures and decorative art categories from ceramics to furniture, clocks to barometers, books, maps and engravings and from rugs to textiles, as well as fine art and wonderful jewellery from antiquity to art deco.

The Arts Centre and the NGV will dig into their own collections to display some of their own treasures. Former Sotheby’s London expert Paul Sumner, whose Mossgreen Collection at South Yarra in Melbourne attracts many admirers, will compere the event. A Valuation Lotto will be held.

The dealers are bringing in some special items and you have to guess how much they are worth to claim a prize. Tickets are required and can be booked ahead of time via The Arts Centre Melbourne website. Importantly, tickets will also be available at the door on the day!
