This year Australia’s National Baroque Orchestra the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra (ABO) will offer in its 26th program and all six of its concerts in Melbourne and Sydney for the first time. It’s indicative of the growing support and interest in not only the works presented, but also players performing on period instruments. With their silver anniversary behind them, the ABO are working towards their Gold and establishing a National Centre for Baroque Excellence. The series can be purchased as a subscription or single concerts. The soft seductive imagery created by Toby Burrows is impressive.
