Wow, I can’t believe how fast the time is flying by in 2014!
Here we are again, coming into one of my favourite weeks of the year “Dream Week”.
Here at The Culture Concept one of our chosen charities is Look Good Feel Better.
As many of you may know I also volunteer for this amazing initiative.
This will be my 5th year helping with the workshops.
They are now run nation wide in 180 locations around Australia.
An army of 1500 volunteers brighten the day of around 10,000 participants every year.
Look Good, Feel Better is not just in Australia, but worldwide.Other countries that have adopted the fantastic idea are Brazil, Italy, France, USA and the UK to name but a handful.
This is pretty incredible from an organisation that relies solely on the generosity of the cosmetic industry and community goodwill, no government funding.
We have seen the difference, first hand that LGFB makes to peoples well being at a time when things can get fairly tough.
This being the case, Dream Week is so important to raise awareness and much needed funds to keep our perfumed juggernaut rolling.
This year, what do we have up our sleeves is to get you all involved?
$1 of the sale price goes directly to LGFB
We are encouraging you all to share your pretty pouts on social media!
Yes, what we would love to see are the shades you chose to wear.
It’s easy really.
All you have to do is snap a seflie and post it to instagram, twitter or FaceBook with the hashtag #[email protected] wearing your bold new hues.
Do this every day for the seven days of Dream Week, but don’t do it alone.
Followers are also encouraged to nominate three friends to take on the challenge. And why not?
Have some fun with your besties and play around with some new looks. I know I will, I just have to work out who I am going to ask to take on the dare.
Gorgeous Dream Week merchandise is available at our pop up store in Westfield City Sydney.
Carrybags, coin purses, make up bags (to pop that new lipstick in), bracelets, umbrellas and the Tree of Dreams pin.
Another way to help is through $7 for 7 days of hope.
You can donate a one off sum of $7 AUD to help fund our newest service, home delivered confidence kits!
“Workshop in a box” are specifically designed to cater for people that can’t attend a workshop due to health or travel reasons.
We would like to be everywhere, but this is the closest option!
Visit www.mycause.com.au/events/7for7days for more information.
So ladies, I can’t wait to see you all in your new lipsticks next week.
Will it be ruby red, perfect pink or antique blush?
Maybe you’re a tangerine gal or pure plumb vamp or is gloss more your thing?
Whatever you choose, put your best pout forward and support a worthwhile cause.
Oh and I’ll be posting a pic everyday on Face Book so you can check out my faves.
Because every girl knows the difference a great lipstick makes to her day!
