Emirates British Film Fesitval 2014 – Palace Cinemas

TuringAnnouncing the name of the closing film for the Emirates British Film Festival 2014, to be held 5th to 26th November, 2014 at the Palace Cinemas, is a great way to go. The Imitation Game stars the super sleuth and rock star actor, Benedict Cumberbatch with British darling Keira Knightly, in a story and a performance sure to garner lots of praise as well as gather lots of critics.

Testament of YouthThe Emirates British Film Festival 2014 commences with another ‘wartime epic’, a movie based on the famous memoirs of Vera Brittain and starring Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina) and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones). Testament of Youth, a story about love and loss remains one of the most powerful and famous memoirs of the 20th Century.

God Help the GirlContemporary films include God Help the Girl, Long Way Down, Jimmy’s Hall, Lilting, Miss Julie, Mr. Turner, Snow in Paradise, The Hooligan Factory, The Love Punch, The Sea, What We Did on our Holiday. God Help the Girl has already won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival 2014, and stars youthful actors Olly Alexander, Hannah Murray and Emily Browning.
