Due to the amazing success of the Emirates British Film Festival now happening all around Australia, because of the excellent choice of extraordinary quality films, extra sessions have been added to the schedule programs

Bookending the festival with two epics from World War 1 and II is in honour of the 100th Anniversary of the beginning of the first redefining world war event for western civilisation. Testament of Youth a moving expose based on the memoirs of England’s Vera Brittain and The Imitation Game about breaking the German’s Enigma Code, both deserve to feature prominently in next year’s Academy Awards.
The Imitation Game will close the festival and is based on the biography Alan Turing: The Enigma, with Benedict Cumberbatch (12 Years a Slave) playing the lead and supporting is Keira Knightly, Matthew Goode (Stoker), Mark Strong (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Allen Leech (Downton Abbey), to name but a few.
