The names Bond, James Bond.
It’s always fabulous when an actor utters those immortal lines, and to hear English actor Daniel Craig speak them, for what could be his last turn as 007, is always exciting!
Bond films are not just about the action, they are about the exotic locations, fast cars, gorgeous women and fabulous fashion also.
This latest offering in the famous franchise doesn’t disappoint!
Spectre takes us on a wild ride from Mexico City with an amazing opening scene filled with colour and action, to the natural beauty of the Austrian ski fields.
Throw in London, Rome and Tangiers for good measure, and it’s like buying a round the world ticket to sartorial perfection.
From the cut of his suit to the omega wristwatch, Bond is a lesson in style.
French costume designer Jany Temime knows exactly what to dress her characters in to best create the mood and the sense of luxury that is in all Bond films.
Once again Daniel Craig wears Tom Ford, and looks amazing!
For his scene in the Austrian alps he stays warm, and looks hot, in the Tom Ford bomber jacket and stirrup trousers.
Accessorizing with the same designers “Snowdon” eyewear and Mulberry gloves, Bond is ready to take on the bad guys once again.
Add the finest gauge cashmere turtle neck sweaters, and anyone can hit the slopes in super spy style.
I do agree with Temime when she says her favourite look of 007 is the white tuxedo.
There is nothing quite like a man in a well cut suit, and this shows Craig’s toned physique off to perfection.
And with those blue eyes and sexy pout, what red blooded female isn’t going to swoon?
Add to the mix Monica Bellucci, who plays Lucia Sciarra, looking stunning in Christian Louboutin boots and a very Dolce and Gabbana style suit at the funeral of her assassin husband.
Bond can’t resist a beautiful woman and Lucia is just that.
But it’s all about the captivating Dr Madeleine Swann played by French actor Lea Seydoux.
Her character is a study in refined elegance.
Every look she wears is stunning, especially the jaw dropping dusty green dress by label Ghost.
I’d hazard a guess that the “Hollywood Salma” gown is a sell-out.
Body skimming bias cut silk, it clings to all the right curves and moves like a dream.
Stand out accessories are the magnificent David Deyond hexagon shaped diamond earrings, the only thing needed to compliment this beauty.
Antipodean label Lover also get a nod.
Seydoux looks ravishing in the “Venus” dress in navy blue lace.
Pared with the “Ivette” shoe by Jimmy Choo, it’s a flawless look.
I also love the Chloe “Marcie” shoulder bag and the Persol 3092 sunglasses she wears, divine!
Just have to mention the white pants she is wearing when Madeleine and James are dropped off the train.
They are an immaculate cut and fit.
All this style and I haven’t even mentioned the cars!
The Aston Martin DB10 is a sexy beast of mechanical engineering.
Add to the mix Jaguars C-X75 in hot pursuit, you’ve got a fast paced car chase along Rome’s Tiber river.
All in all rollicking good fun.
So the only question left to ask, will Daniel Craig return as 007, or has he handed in his license to kill?
We will just have to wait for the next installment of everyone’s favourite spy.
