I think my Fashion Elixir readers will know that one of my favourite shoe boutiques in Sydney’s Surry Hills is the divine The Cook, His Wife and Her Shoes.
This is such a stylish corner of my suburb, I find myself gravitating towards it constantly.
I love seeing all the new collections when they arrive, so I was delighted to receive an invitation to a first hand preview of the excellent shipment of fantastic footwear for Spring 2015.
The sweet milk chocolate shoe was divine!
Once properly sated, it was time to covet this seasons collections, and once again “the wife” knows her heels!
Regina “the Wife” has an eagle eye for excellent quality and unique design. This season, she is on the money again.
All her favourite labels are there, including a few new ones. I simply couldn’t keep away!
The shop is a jewel box gem, filled with stunning colours and textures, not to mention quality brands.
Hoss are glamour to the max, and I defy any woman not to feel super sexy wearing them.
This year Hoss have a very Studio 54 vibe going on.
The black with gold trim and the red T-bar’s are amazing, and the black ankle boots are the bomb.
There are also a small selection of accessories by this brand.
A green studded belt and black pony skin clutch were my faves.
Chie’s are slightly more classic, and I have to honestly say, THE most comfortable high heels I have ever worn.
Chatting to another guest, the lovely Renae, we both agreed that these heels are a must for the woman who thinks she can’t wear anything above 2 inches.
I must say it’s nice to know you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort.
These are original, colourful and show extreme attention to detail. The quality of workmanship and leather is instantly visible. I took quite a shine to the winter hued heels. Beautiful detail in the stitching and a 1940’s vibe with a little hint of the Pantone colour for 2015, Marsala. Great with patterned tights and a wrap dress.
Adore the Tilly Rose flats. Can just see myself running around Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in these, stylish and practical.
Black stars on white for me.
The white leather brogues with silver metal detail have a touch of Annie Hall about them.
M Missoni camouflage wedges are a huge hit and had all the ladies clamouring to get their feet in these super funky numbers.
Repetto are class all the way.
The brand that has it’s origins in ballet shoes which means they are featherlight on your feet. I can attest to that as my black suede ankle boots are a dream to wear.
Joining these quality labels at a later date will be the fresh style of Castaner
Stunning espadrilles that just sing of summer.
Add the sleek stylish Tibi range into the mix and you have all bases covered. Tibi is the New York based womenswear and accessories brand founded in 1997 by Amy Smilovic.
Can’t wait for these to arrive.
The wonderful news is that Regina is offering private fittings.
This is a practical, one on one service, ensuring that you are completely satisfied with your shoes.
Will show my age now, but I do remember going to lovely shoe stores in days gone by where assistants measured your foot, asked questions and knew their trade.
A good shoe can last a lifetime (if cared for) so it is worth buying quality.
Uncomfortable shoes will show all over your face!
These brands are original and you’re sure to stand out in the crowd wearing any of these immaculate designs.
So stand tall this spring, and check out The Cook, His Wife And Her Shoes.
These styles are guaranteed to put a spring in your step!
